...the ones I love best...

sleepy girl feeling the love ~ August 13, 2002 - 5:22 p.m.

sleepy, again...

I'm taking a day in the world, taking care of some business...

firedance is being absolutely beautiful, and it hasn't even really started yet. it's all staff and work-trade folks and pre-festival stuff... last night we had an opening ritual at the main fire circle, and it was gorgeous and filled with love. we danced and drummed into the night, and then I got up early to head into santa cruz.

I thought I'd be able to catch a ride part of the way down, but there was -no one- going my way, so I wound up hiking all the way down the mountain.

a beautiful morning for it. but. it made me nearly two hours late for a very important interview, an interview with the folks who may or may not send me to southeast asia for a couple of months.

I know, I know-- I haven't really talked about this, and you have no idea what it's all about, but I'm way too tired to explain at the moment, so I'll catch you up later.

but the interview went well. really, really well. in spite of being almost two hours late.

and then I met up with the organic clothing company guy, and that went well too. it looks like we're going to set up a shoot in a couple of weeks, enough money to fix my bike and all kinds of other things too.

and now I get to head back up the mountain to that beautiful group of folks... to dance, and revel, and laugh, and let go...

I'm letting go of a lot right now. dark, heavy things releasing, being consumed in the fire, and the rhythms, and the dance, and the love.

and the love...

and the love...

I love being alive...

you know?

previously... * and then...
