staring into the fire ~ December 28, 2006 - 11:31 p.m. the wild paths my brain is leading me down... everything is so disjunct and strange, but there's something emerging. some resilient core in all of this confusion. crash and burn is what happens before rebirth. death is not always death of the physical body. death is, and birth too. things fall away. things fall apart. seven years ago I said the cracks are starting to show. those strange days with my heart wide open to the light and my feet floating just inches from the ground. now it feels like the pieces themselves are splitting apart. I need to be remembering to ground. I need to be taking good care. I need to be dancing and learning and teaching and healing and I need, goddammit, to be writing. my head is overflowing and it's all too much. focus, channel, write. this is the thing. crashing and burning is. phoenix from the flame time, baby. rubbing the grit from my eyes, and staring into the fire.
