sign the brand-spankin'-new guestbook... may all be healed ~
April 10, 2002 - 9:42 p.m. I drummed bruises into my hands tonight. it was so beautiful. this gorgeously flaky woman named rosemary brought all her drums down to the garden, and a group of us gathered and drummed and danced down the sun. when the stars were bright and the folks in the neighboring house were putting kids to bed, we set down our drums and bells and tambourines and held hands in a circle, sending our love and healing energy out into the universe. we gathered at the altar we'd made and lit candles, burned sage and incense, and prayed for the healing of ourselves, our community, our world and all living beings. then we laughed and talked and just shared joyful space. my first time really drumming, apart from a couple of hesitant experiments. I'd lose the rhythm whenever I got too much in my head, but when I'd let go, I could just let the rhythm flow through me. my hands are a little stiff and sore now, but I can still feel the energy tingling through them. I love these people, this place. such a healing space for me right now. it's so good. so. may all be healed...
