malaise ~ March 31, 2003 - 10:27 p.m.

I'm not so well today. koy baw sabaidee muh-nee.

I called in sick to work; or rather, I walked the five minutes over to the deputy principal's house, since mine was without a phone. she was very kind. don't worry, I'm breathing fine, so it's not the hong kong virus. it's just this malaise.

sometimes a word just fits perfectly. malaise. that word sounds like I feel.

heavy, exhausted, fevered, run-down. an illness hard to qualify as physical, spiritual, or emotional.

there's definitely something going on inside me on a more than physical level. I gave my heart some reiki for a good long time the other night. sometimes everything is hard. sometimes everything hurts.

last night I dreamed an angel lover woman I know in california was holding me, and feeding me healing herbs.

I know some of it is unrest, transition. I called in sick to work, but could not avoid moving house today. bad timing, but I was happy to get there. such fun, exploring a new place, all the hidden little nooks and crannies, all the unexpected bonuses. I love my new house. already I'm developing a wish list of items to acquire to make it just so.

I'm going to drag myself back to it now and try to get some sleep, hopefully make it to work tomorrow morning.

remind me to tell you about the disco...
