sign the brand-spankin'-new guestbook... my job, and the liking of it ~
May 27, 2004 - 2:09 a.m. I'm going through one of those hard times. where everything is difficult, and I don't know why. my room is a disgusting mess, and I can't seem to deal with it. I'm behind on household chores in general. although I did scrub out the sink in the bathroom last night, which felt like a very minor victory. I need to get my room in shape. I need to organize my paperwork. I need to get myself back to the gym. I need to be meditating. I need to be doing yoga. I need to be talking to my friends. I need to be writing. At least I know what I need to be doing. My work life seems to be the one area where I'm doing well and enjoying myself. that seems odd. but more oddly still, I love my job. it's fun for me. I like people, I like traveling. I like feeling strong and in control as I tell a planeload of people to sit down and fasten their seatbelts. one of the things I like about my job is that we're one of the smaller airlines, flying 32-passenger jets with one flight attendant. so when you're in the air, you are in control. I like working on my own. I like feeling in control. I like my job. did I mention that? the rest of it, I'm still working on.
