the path of words ~ September 30, 2006 - 9:48 p.m.

the story of joe continues to unspool, page after page. I can only write so much at a time before the thoughts get tangled in my head and I have to leave it again until the next day.

but every day there's more, and this writing is fascinating. in telling this story I'm also telling the story of my heart and my growing up into the world. in finding and remembering the details I'm understanding things I never knew before, about myself and my heart and who I was in that time and with that journey.

and the words just keep on coming, as if there will always be more words, as if the stories of my life are stories worth telling.

I'm beginning to experience myself as a writer again, beginning again to know the path of words as one that belongs to me, as one that has always belonged to me.

it feels like a revolution.
