sticking it out ~ July 20, 2003 - 8:40 p.m. it's been too long since I've updated, and I'm afraid this isn't really an update, either. I don't have the time or energy tonight. I'm falling apart. emotionally, spiritually, physically. it's just one of those times. I've been reminding myself that it's when things fall apart that everything gets better. pema chodron says that when things fall apart, we can use the opportunity to either shut ourselves down or wake ourselves up. I'm pretty much blowing it in the waking myself up department lately, but I know myself too well. I can't run forever. and in the moments where I do sit with myself, I'm learning a lot about what's really going on inside of me. I'll tell you about it when I'm a little more together. right now I'm working 7 days a week, at three different jobs. it's too much. but in a couple of weeks, the world changes, and then we'll see what it looks like. but I'm staying in lao. I'm pretty sure. this feels like one of those things where it's really important to stick it out. I'm somewhere in the middle of sticking it out right now.
