run down and waiting for the train... ~ October 15, 2002 - 6:18 p.m. the rainforest was incredibly beautiful, but my time there was pretty mixed... partly, I think, because I seem to be coming down with something. not surprising, but I am determined not to get sick. I'm doing a lot of emergen-c and oregano oil. feeling pretty worn out, though. I've got a sleeper on the train tonight, so hopefully I'll get some rest. heading up towards thailand... I cross the border in the morning. taman nagara, the national park I just came from, is a trip. you can only get there by boat, and there's a whole riverfront culture just in front of the park entrance. a whole little town floating out there, restaurants and souvenir shops and water taxis going back and forth across the river. and you know, there's plenty more to tell you, but I'm just not feeling up to it. just trying to think about how to tell a story makes my head hurt. I'll get back to you soon...
