rain, sleet, and snow in austin... ~ 2000-12-13 - 04:17:43

wow, I just found something unbelievable. smoke it if you've got it, and take a look. maslow and I have been hanging out, playing with the computer-- cool hacks and napster downloads.

ruta maya's was cool, it was the first time I'd been there since nationals in '98. my first nationals. those are some wild memories. nationals is such a mind-blowing experience. our wild, loving, family reunion. no wonder it's addictive. I haven't decided what I'm doing yet about nationals next summer. I may try to register as an indie if I'm still on the road. I may go and not compete. whatever happens, I'm going.

the weather is crazy. I was gonna jet back down to san antonio after my thing at ruta maya's tonight, catch nick's first out-of-town feature, but there's sleet and freezing rain and texans sure as hell don't know how to drive in it. it wasn't worth my life. nick's coming here tomorrow and we have a day to play and see austin friends, and then thursday we've got a gig at a high school in the morning and the austin slam on thursday night. then I've got some free time until baton rouge on the 21st. I still haven't put my tour schedule online, because parts of it are shifting at the moment. soon I'll have more of a coherent idea.

sad news. I talked to clare today, and she told me that our cats are gone. she had custody of two cats we rescued by the side of the road and raised from tiny kittens. simoon disappeared, and then celie was killed by a neighbor's dog. they were such wonderful cats. a moment of silence for my kitties. thanks.
