...the ones I love best...

scattered ~ January 12, 2002 - 12:35 a.m.

I've joined a bunch more diary rings, because I've been thinking a lot about communities lately, and how many different communities I'm a part of... and thinking about how communities link up and cross over, and the potential power in communicating within and across communities.

y'know, all that human connection stuff.

and once I'd joined all those rings (vegan, buddhist, tattooed, etc...), all the little links with their little colored boxes and stuff were just a little too unsightly, so I've bumped them down to the bottom of my archive page, somewhere near the place where this all began.

I'm thinking about doing an article on online diary culture for one of the local weeklies. of course, that implies motivation and discipline on my part.

I keep telling myself that things will change once we get a house in santa cruz, and no longer have to camp on the floor in san jose.

ozone and I keep wading in and out of craziness. things get better, and worse, and better. he gave me his old vw bus as an early birthday present. amazing. it needs some work, as it won't, technically, start at the moment, but he says it won't take much.

of course I'll be working on it all the time, that's life with a bus, but I'm looking forward to it. 'bout damn time hippie chick had a bus. it'll be fun to drive around santa cruz.

santa cruz. can't wait to get back to santa cruz.

I'm badly in need of doing something productive, but my life here feels so scattered, it's hard to find my focus. a real house, places for all of my things, a stable place to be, in santa cruz. it feels like an idea. a place where I can get things done. I have a good feeling about santa cruz.

and anyplace is better than here.
